About Me:
My name is Dara. This site is going to follow my journey through Digital Art 1. I am currently a senior at The University of Colorado Boulder, studying marketing and entrepreneurship. However art and being creative is what I love to do so I am following a career path somewhat different from my studies. I have been working in politics on the digital/creative teams for about a year now, and it is what I plan to pursue in the future. It not only allows me to be creative, but I am making an impact on our country and that feeling is irreplaceable.
I am hoping to learn a lot of new skills during this course and get really creative with it. Life is unexpected and filled with so many emotions and I want to express myself creatively. There are so many things constantly changing around us and art takes it all in. AP Art was a highlight in my high school experience, there, I explored conspiracy theories and children's books and the lessons they teach as my concentrations. Going to school in rural Georgia, there was not a lot of creative thinking or open-mindedness but art was my outlet. I haven't taken the time to do art for myself in a while, so I am very excited and ready to get back into it.
I will be documenting my work from class on this site, but I am hoping to make this more than that. I would like this to become a portfolio of all my work throughout the past, present, and future.
